Account book, 1833-1834, indexed, of a medical doctor, that includes the date of visits made to or from patients, the occupation of the patient, treatment prescribed, drugs dispensed, and fee for treatment. Some patients were referred to other doctors, or Deas consulted other doctors for them. Doctors consulted included Dr. Manly and Dr. Garrett. Planters and merchants and their families were the two largest categories of patients. One of his patients may have been Benajah Smith Bibb, and a definite patient was Major Thomas Cowles, both of Montgomery, Montgomery, Ala.
